Because of climatic changes, it’s raining harder every year. The Netherlands are increasingly facing downpours, and cities like Amsterdam which are getting more & more dense, are struggling to drain natural water away. They cannot handle these flooding anymore.

Rainproof Amsterdam is an initiative aiming to avoid situation like Copenhagen on 2 July 2011, when the city had to face in three hours 150mm of rain coming down, resulting in damages amounting to billions.

Amsterdam Rainproof is an open platform to inform Amsterdam residents how to contribute to making their city rainproof.
